Academics

Life Prep at Shelton Academy

Life Prep is a unique academic subject at the heart of Shelton Academy’s educational experience. More than a class, it is a space where students are guided to grow as whole persons — learning about themselves, cultivating virtues, and deepening their spiritual life.

Through a variety of interactive activities, students gain self-understanding, practice leadership, and develop habits that prepare them for life beyond the classroom. The goal of the program is to form young people who are not only academically capable but also virtuous, resilient, and ready to make a positive impact in society.

Our Method

Life Prep sessions are dynamic and participative. Students engage in discussions, projects, and hands-on activities that connect directly to their daily lives. The emphasis is on active learning and practical application, ensuring that what is taught in Life Prep becomes lived experience.

The Goal

Life Prep ensures that every Shelton student is prepared not only to succeed academically but also to thrive as a person of character, faith, and vision. By equipping them with tools for life, we help them step into the future with confidence and purpose.
